7 Minutes of Bowser's Fury Gameplay – Super Mario 3D World

Check out seven minutes of new Bowser’s Fury gameplay where Mario and Bowser Jr. team up to collect Cat Shines in order to stop Fury Bowser.

Bowser’s Fury, the newly added component in the Switch release of Super Mario 3D World, is an open-world style Mario experience as opposed to the linear and level-based style of the main game. It’s more like a combination of Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario 3D World, but this time you have a teammate in Bowser Jr. who can help you fight enemies and even uncover secrets.

Bowser’s Fury is split up into little islands within a large open world, where each of these tiny islands, including Cat Shines to uncover. Not all of these Shines are visible in plain sight, and some require a little more effort than others. Once you reach a specified amount, you’ll be able to transform into Giga Cat Mario to take on Fury Bowser.

Bowser’s Fury is included as part of the Switch re-release of Super Mario 3D World. Super Mario 3D World was originally released on Nintendo Wii U back in 2013. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will be released for Nintendo Switch on February 12, 2021. For more on Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, including our review, stay tuned to GameSpot.
